Huckleberry Afros

I've been finding lately that I just do not have enough time in the day. Every day ends with me feeling unfulfilled and worried that I will never have time to get around to the things that I want to accomplish.

Ideally, life would be one long journey, like a road that never ends, continuing uninterrupted from day to day.

However, in this 9-5 world, I find that life is more like a fractal; Punctuated moments of living, interrupted by a day job. It's still endless and connected but as the punctuated events of life happen, they gradually become smaller and less significant.

And so my mind wanders to my home - Texas - Back to the places and people whom I miss so terribly.

But then I remember why I moved to Portland, to be closer to a more beautiful part of the world. Where I can day trip to mountains, oceans, hot springs, incredible rivers, and rainforest. There is much more to discover here.
